Professional Eulogy Writing

Hello, I'm Andrea.

Most people find their way to me because they've been asked to write a eulogy.

Giving a funeral speech is an honour often accompanied by a daunting sense of responsibility. People know what they want to say, they just don't know how to say it. I'm currently training as a Grief and Bereavement Counsellor and I have fifteen years of professional writing experience. I can help.

I've written hundreds of funeral speeches, open letters, memorial poems and obituaries to celebrate the lives of people all over the world.  My work has been published by international media outlets and read aloud at family funerals and large scale public memorial services. Each eulogy is as unique as the person I'm writing about.

Choosing a Package:

Planning a funeral can feel like an overwhelming undertaking at the hardest of times so I've done my best to keep things simple.

Scroll down for details of bespoke eulogies, memorial poems and professional editing services.

My eulogy writing kit helps you to craft the perfect funeral tribute yourself. I recently updated it with a short guide to AI. Technology like ChatGPT doesn't write with emotional depth but it can help you to organise your thoughts.

Moving Through Grief is a 65 page digital workbook.  Insights and journal prompts will guide you through the grieving process, helping  you to identify your feelings and find healthy ways to come to terms with your loss. There are no quick fixes, but having a safe place to examine your emotions can help a lot. I've priced the guide to cover processing and hosting costs only. Feel free to share your download with family and friends for their personal use, I'd like the guide to be available to anyone who might benefit from it.

How to Order:

After you've clicked on your selected product you'll be guided through the checkout process.

I accept payment by credit/debit card, Apple Pay, PayPal or bank transfer if that's easier.

I send eulogies via email so shipping is free, but I can print out and post via Royal Mail Special Delivery (Guaranteed by 1pm), the cost of this is £6.50, this delivery service is available to UK clients only.

It's a privilege for me to write about peoples' lives, and it's a responsibility I take very seriously. I approach every commission with attention to detail, compassion and professionalism.

Personal details are collected, processed, stored and disposed of in accordance with UK GDPR, you'll find my privacy policy here and my terms and conditions here.

I'm skilled in writing tributes to people who have led challenging lives or passed in difficult circumstances. I don't approach commissions with any judgement or preconceptions and you won't be asked to divulge any more information than you feel comfortable sharing. I'll work with whatever you feel able to tell me.

Next Steps:

After you've placed your order I'll get in touch with you via email, text or WhatsApp to arrange a convenient time for us speak about your loved one. If you'd prefer contact by email I can send a questionnaire to you which will guide you through the kind of information I'll need in order to start writing.

I aim to ensure these conversations are calm and comforting so I'll work in whatever way you feel happiest. I can ask specific questions about your loved one or we can talk freely if you prefer - and if you're feeling daunted or inconvenienced by a single lengthy call we can have several shorter conversations. Clients often tell me they find these conversations cathartic, and that's exactly what I'm aiming for. Sensitivity is at the forefront of everything I do.

I'll deliver a first draft within one working day of starting work and I'll keep writing until you feel I've crafted the perfect eulogy, written in the voice of the person who'll be delivering it and tailored to the style and tone of the planned service.

A little about me:

I'm an enthusiastic amateur photographer and a keen collector of Victorian images. I've got a particular fondness for vintage postcards. Each one tells its own story and I find them all so compelling. One particular postcard led to us connecting today, you can read more about that here

Home to me means lots of books, plants and animals. I have two French Bulldogs, a very lazy cat and a tortoise who's nearly twenty-eight. I'm divorced with two sons in their twenties.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my website, I hope I can help you celebrate your loved one's life.
